We opted to experience Dubai’s famous luxury, but that doesn’t mean 5-star is your only option.
How do I get to the hotels?
In Dubai, you have many options depending on your location.
Uber – This is the easiest and best way to explore the city. We are huge fans of Uber. The fare is usually better than a regular or private taxi, and you don’t need cash as your account works worldwide.
In Dubai, the Uber experience goes to another level. In Dubai, you will find 5 Uber options:
- Select – the most affordable riding option to accommodate your daily travel needs.
- Comfort – making its first-ever appearance in Dubai, riders get access to more experienced and highly-rated drivers with newer-model vehicles that offer more legroom.
- Black – more high-end vehicles; for those who wish to travel in luxury and arrive in style.
- XL – continues to be the best ride option for bigger groups or travelers with lots of luggage.
- Green – is the new low-emission ride option that connects you with fully electric vehicles.
By train – The train in Dubai crosses almost the whole city, and depending on where you are staying; you can get out in front of your hotel or somewhere super close.
Regular taxi – Dubai also has many traditional taxis, which you can order with an app.
Hotel shuttle or private transportation – Almost every hotel or resort offers a shuttle or private car. These services may be complementary or with an added charge (check with your accommodation).

Located just 14 minutes from Dubai’s Airport by car/Uber or 30 minutes by train, Shangrila- Dubai is an ideal starting point to discover the city’s dynamic energy in the heart of downtown Dubai with views of Burj Khalifa, Sheikh Zayed Junction, and the sea. Just minutes away from The Dubai Mall, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and City Walk.
Shangri-La Dubai hotel is the absolute height of service and luxury. The hotel lobby is huge and luxurious. Perfect for couples, solo travelers, and business travelers.
