Watching the sunset is truly something special and unique. Every single place on Earth will provide you with a special one, only to be seen in that specific place. So today, we bring you a list of 4 of the most amazing places to watch the sunset.
It’s the kind of thing everyone can do anywhere in the world, and it’s one of our favorite things. We love to find the best places for sunset and capture these beautiful and memorable moments with our camera and video gear.

Through our travels, we have visited many different places, allowing us to enjoy some of the most beautiful and unique sunsets in many parts of the world. It wasn’t an easy task, but we chose 5 locations as our favorites.

Santorini, Greece
The sunset in Santorini is one of the world’s most famous and lives up to its hype.
It is one of the most popular attractions on the island, making thousands of tourists run across it to find the best spot to watch the sunset on those warm Summer days. It is indeed a truly magical experience.
Where is the best place on the island to enjoy this breathtaking view?
One of the most famous places to watch the sunset in Santorini is Oia. However, when we were in Santorini for the first time, we decided to do something different, which was a unique experience.
We decided to beat the crowds and go on a helicopter ride. We chose @charter_superiorair to fly us; it was indeed one of the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen.
As Pilots, we are used to seeing beautiful views from above, but this one surprised us most wonderfully.

Maldives
Sunsets are already beautiful in themselves, but sunsets in the Maldives are something else.
The water in the Maldives is so clear that even at sunset, you can still see the marine life around it.
It’s a mix of turquoise water with pink, blue, and orange-ish skies—definitely one of the best of all.
You have many options on where you can watch this magical moment from. It can be from your overwater bungalow, from a sandbar, from inside the water, or you can even choose to go on a tour and look out for dolphins. It is one of the many unique experiences you should do at least once in your life.
Phi Phi, Thailand is one of the 4 most amazing places to watch the sunset
Another incredible place to watch the sunset is Phi Phi island in Thailand.
The sunset on Koh Phi Phi takes place in the Western part of the island, and there are many different beaches where you can appreciate this particular moment.
Thailand has recently opened its borders to tourists and is a destination high on our list.
Cappadocia, Turkey
You have probably heard about the beautiful Cappadocia and its famous hot air balloons. Trust us when we say that Cappadocia is more than that; it is a magical place.
We visited it for the first time last year (2021), and it exceeded our expectations!
We recommend visiting at least once in your lifetime; of course, a balloon ride is a must. However, if you are afraid of heights or don’t desire to do the hot air balloon tour, Cappadocia is still a great destination. And you can always watch the balloons from very close. They are so many and so beautiful. It’s a goosebump moment!

Even though you will probably be awake for sunrise in Cappadocia anyways because of the balloon rides that occur very early every morning, the sunsets are not to be sneezed at.
