Four Seasons Landaa Giravaaru

They say, “You can’t go wrong staying at a Four Seasons anywhere in the world.” So although this quote doesn’t officially exist, trust us when we say it is true. Indeed, you CAN NOT go wrong staying at a Four Seasons Landaa Giravaaru. And that goes for Four Seasons properties in the Maldives as well.

Four Seasons Lnadaa Giravaaru has over 1,500 reviews on TripAdvisor and a 5-star rating. So that already tells us something, huh?

Island Sanctuary In The Baa Atoll

The Four Seasons brand has two resorts in the Maldives: Four Seasons Landaa Giravaaru & Four Seasons Kuda Huraa.

We were lucky enough to stay at both properties in April 2022. So today, in this post, we’ll talk about the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve island sanctuary: Welcome to Four Seasons Landaa Giravaaru Maldives.

At FSLG, you can definitely expect effortless service and genuine hospitality from the best in the business. So be ready to indulge in a fantastic adventure surrounded by crystal clear waters.

Accommodations

Accommodations are one of the most important things for us when we search for a resort, especially in the Maldives, where you can spend a significant part of your time chilling at your preferred choice.

When we think about the Maldives, we imagine those incredible pictures of bungalows over the crystal clear blue waters, right? We personally love overwater villas and definitely recommend them.

However, some people, especially families with small kids, don’t feel comfortable about it because of the proximity to the ocean. In addition to this, some prefer to have sand around them. In both those cases, we recommend staying at beach villas.

Each accommodation brings you closer than ever to the stunning marine world around you. So FSLG spectacular Bungalows and Villas offer direct ocean or beach access where you can sit effortlessly above the turquoise water.

Overwater Villas

The overwater villas were renovated in 2020, so the facilities in the room are very new and give a fresh and bright feeling. We stayed at the Sunset Water Villa With Pool, which was undoubtedly one of the best villas in the Maldives.

The design is absolutely gorgeous, and the view is to die for. It is beautifully decorated and has very comfortable beds and linen. In addition, the villa offers a private infinity pool, indoor-outdoor living, outdoor showers, an overwater net, and a loft-level lounge.

Dining

At Four Seasons Landaa Giravaaru, you will be able to find absolutely amazing cuisine from all over the globe. So keep reading to find out what the best has to offer.

There are four restaurants at the resort: Barakat, Fuego, Café Landaa, and Blu. They offer Italian, Arabic, and Asian, along with local cuisine.

The Blu Restaurant was without a doubt our favorite! The Chefs create Italian-inspired dishes from original Italian and local produce so the food was incredible. On top of that, Blu is definitely the best place to watch the sunset on the island.

Also, there are two options for breakfast: at Blu with an a la carte menu or at Café Landaa with the buffet option.

Meal Plans

You can choose Half-Board or Full-Board. Unfortunately, there is no all-inclusive system at Four Seasons Maldives.

Activities

The Resort offers a great variety of activities as well as overwater experiences for all tastes and ages.

Definitely, one of the highlights of the Resort is the Spa. They offer ayurvedic therapies there, and we had the opportunity to do a consultation with the ayurvedic doctor which was very interesting and informative.

In addition to the activities mentioned above, Four Seasons Landaa Giravaaru also offers four exclusive pools, sunset dolphin cruises, snorkeling, three on-site boutiques, hair dresses, four lounges, and a fitness center. The water experiences include wakeboard, foil board, jet blad, and jet ski as well.

Furthermore, they also offer antigravity Yoga which we had the opportunity to try for the first time.

Marine Center

Lastly, a marine conservation center is directly on the island, and they have small pools for rescued turtles.

The center is also very active in building and transplanting new reefs as the corals in the Maldives suffered greatly from bleaching due to global warming. We had the chance to participate in a build-a-reef session at the Marine Center, where you can sponsor your very own coral.

If you’re a diving lover, you can get fins, goggles, and snorkels for free at the Marine Center. There is much marine life around the resort, so you can just snorkel around your villa and have fun!

The dives are led by experienced dive guides. Manta rays, stingrays, turtles, sharks, and many fish can be seen on almost every dive.

How to get here

To reach Four Seasons Landaa Giravaaru from Malé, you can take a 45-minute private seaplane from Malé International Airport direct to the resort.

As soon as you arrive at Velana International Airport, you will be greeted with kindness by the Four Seasons staff and be well-taken care of.

You will then head to the Four Seasons private lounge so you can just chill and relax while waiting for your flight.

There are two seaplane choices available: the Four Seasons seaplane or the Trans Maldidiavn seaplane. The Four Seasons seaplane is private. In contrast, the Trans Maldivian seaplane carries slightly more passengers. It may stop en route at other destinations before finally arriving at Four Seasons.

Our final thoughts

Summing up, we had a truly fantastic time at Four Seasons. The resort is incredible, and the villas are gorgeous. We spent Luana’s bday there, and the staff went above and beyond so she could have a memorable day. We definitely recommend the property as the very best of what the Maldives has to offer.
