Welcome to Soneva Fushi Maldives.

Soneva Fushi Maldives is the first luxury hotel in the Maldives with 64 luxury beachfront villas and eight Water Retreats, from one to nine bedrooms.

Soneva Fushi is hidden among dense forests on a private island within the Baa Atoll. So if you are looking for a “Robinson Crusoe” style resort in the Maldives, you are in the right place.

Accommodations:

Their 64 luxury beachfront villas and eight Water Retreats are on the sunset or sunrise side of the island. While both sides have the Maldives’ signature white-sand beaches and crystal clear azure waters, there are a few differences.

Sunset side: For snorkellers

The Sunset side has three house reef access points; as a bonus, dolphins are easier to see in the channel.

On this side of the island, it is possible to see other islands, approximately 650 meters away. However, you may stay on the island’s sunrise side if you want more privacy.

Sunrise side: For privacy

The sunrise side is perfect for early risers who want to enjoy the morning tranquillity and fantastic views out to the sea.

We stayed at their 2 Bedroom Crusoe Suite across two floors, offering an outdoor bathroom with a bathtub, wine fridge, upper terrace, outside pool, and living area.

Meal plans and restaurants:

At Soneva Fushi, you can choose between two meal plans, Half Board and Full Board.  On a side note, Soneva regularly invites Michelin starred chefs to cook at the resorts.

All meal plans include breakfast at Mihiree Mithaa restaurant. You can also choose to have lunch or dinner at Fresh in the Garden, Out of the Blue, Down To Earth, and Shades of Green as part of their Half Board / Full Board Meal plans. But if you choose to dine at any other restaurant, these are the prices below:

Lunch:

USD 100 per adult and USD 50 per child.

Dinner:

USD 180 per adult and USD 90 per child till December 16, 2022

USD 200 per adult and USD 100 per child from December 17, 2022-December 16, 2023

Activities at Soneva Fushi Maldives

At Soneva Fushi, you will find endless activities such as ziplining through the rainforest, snorkeling in the house reef, swimming with manta rays, or a dolphin cruise at sunset.

How to get here:

There are two ways to reach Soneva Fushi from Malé:

Via seaplane from Malé International Airport direct to Soneva Fushi (recommended), or a domestic flight from Malé International Airport to Dharavandhoo Airport, followed by a 12-minute speedboat ride to Soneva Fushi.

Both flights take approximately 30 to 40 minutes. However, the prices are different. Also, note that the seaplane only operates during the day.

Our final thoughts on Soneva Fushi Maldives

Soneva Fushi is a luxury resort with jungle vibes. The SLOW LIFE philosophy is enormous at the resort, and you will certainly love that.

Disconnect from the outside world but still get the ultra luxury services the resort has to offer. The nature, the villas, the restaurants, the activities, and the service are more than excellent.
