To celebrate a month since we moved to Portugal, Fred and I went on a two-day getaway at Sintra Marmóris Palace hotel, the most amazing hidden luxury guesthouse in Sintra, Portugal.

Sintra Marmòris Palace hotel is one of those places that makes us think, how haven’t I heard about this place before?

Getting to know Sintra Marmòris Palace Hotel

The hotel is an eclectic and charming private house built in the 1890s which was lovingly restored by a family working in the marble stone industry for generations.

So can you imagine how beautiful this place is?

It’s a five stars hotel with an exclusive VIP service that will gain your heart.

Arrival at Sintra Marmòris Palace hotel

Located in Sintra, Portugal, the Marmaris Palace is next to some of the most historical places in the country, such as the impressive Penha Palace and Moorish Castle – and it’s just a 7 min walk from the historical center of Sintra!

The excellent hotel entrance, surrounded by 14 000 square meters of private gardens, is perfect for exploring the wooded hiking trails, reading a book, relaxing and listening to the bird-song, and joying the heated pool with a stunning view over the hill.

It’s such an exclusive hotel (only nine bedrooms), which makes this place even more incredible!

Like a VIP

The VIP service starts as soon as you arrive at this gorgeous Palace. The staff is nothing more than incredible, one of the things Fred and I appreciate the most, and this place went for sure above and beyond.

When you arrive at the hotel, welcome drinks will be ready. We chose a champagne glass for each.

The Room

As I write this post, I feel I’ll run out of words to describe this magnificent guest room. But well, I’ll try my best.

Just so you have an idea, we had a private elevator!

We stayed at Suite Vista Serra. First, the elevator will take you inside of your room. YES. You read that correctly; your essential room is also the key that allows the elevator to go to your room.  When you get there, you will have a 70m2  of pure luxury.

Our room was the most impressive and most beautiful. The decor included antique furnishings, velvet-cad bed, sofas, and fauteuil that are truly unique and elegant; plus, we had not only just one but two gorgeous bathrooms. The suite was huge and amazingly comfortable!

Bathrooms

Two bathrooms, one with a huge bathtub, a king-size bed, views of the hotel’s entry, views of the gardens, and a picture of a famous castle, Castelo dos Mouros.

Inside the room, you will also find coffee, fruits, water, and the traditional ‘Queijadas de Sintra,” which is slightly sweet prepared using cheese, eggs, milk, and powdered sugar-SO YUMMY- and last but not least, a delicious liqueur. What’s included in the room rates, and they refill it daily! How dreamy is that?

Another little treat is a cellphone in your room that you can take out when you go explore the city to make calls and even use unlimited internet. Oh! You can also use it to order room service with it.

Fancy

Not impressed yet? What about a mirror that has a Smart TV inside? We were amazed as well; you are not alone in that. Like we said before, WHAT A ROOM!

Around 6:00 pm, they offer a Cheese & Charcuterie service with wine. We enjoyed this deliciousness in our room because it was so dreamy. This is all included and at no extra charge!

Breakfast

Amazing. I know, it seems I’m on repeat mode here, but it’s all I can say. You can choose everything you want from this incredible selection. We’ve never seen anything like that!! This is the result:

Amenities

After breakfast, it was time to hit the heated pool and continue to relax in paradise with the fantastic view of Mouros’ Castle.

Of course, we took some time pictures of the place because everything there is so well designed.

If you are looking for things to do around the property, click here and find out.

We went for a walk in the city of Sintra, which is cute. We’ve been in Sintra a few times, but we never actually walked down there.

Back at the hotel and around 6:00 pm, it’s time for… YES! Cheese, Charcuterie & Wine! Yes, please!

This time we enjoyed all that delicious selection outside near the garden while watching the sunset. We couldn’t ask for a better day!
