When we travel, we like to explore the city and its different possibilities for tourism and leisure, and this time we will tell you about our best experiences in Budapest.
Budapest is the capital of Hungary, a vibrant city full of things to do and one of the most romantic cities we have ever visited. A good suggestion for a honeymoon destination.
Best Experiences in Budapest
Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest
Luxury can mean something different to each person; for us, it’s all about the people, and this is one of the reasons why Kempinski is one of our favorite hotels to work with and our home away from home. You are always well taken care of there, no matter where you visit.
By staying at Kempinski Budapest, you are not only experiencing one of the finest and most luxurious hotels in Hungary in the heart of Budapest but also have the incredible opportunity to:
- Try “Blue Fox The Bar” – Among the 50 best bars in EUROPE @bluefoxthebar_budapest
- Have a Japanese culinary experience at one of the iconic Nobu restaurants @noburestaurants
- Enjoy excellent local cuisine (one of the best meats we’ve ever eaten) at ÉS Bisztró @esbisztro
- If you travel at the end of the year, you will also have the opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit and enjoy the newly opened Christmas patio at ÉS Bisztró
Matild Palace
An iconic UNESCO world heritage site, The Matild Palace is one of the most unique hotels in Budapest. Part of a “Luxury Collection Hotel”, it combines luxury with modern design and stunning views of the Elizabeth Bridgeis the third newest bridge to connect the Buda side to the Best one.
Among its unique features are an incredible Spa, the Spago by Wolgang Puck restaurant and a secret liquor library over the rooftop.
Fisherman’s Bastion
If we had to choose just one place in Budapest to visit, this would be it. One of the most famous places in the Hungarian capital, Fisherman’s Bastion, is open all year round, day and night, and offers incredible panoramic views of the city.
It’s the perfect spot for photos!! Just keep in mind that being one of the most tourist attractions in Budapest, it gets really crowded during the day but not so much during sunrise and sunset.
If you’re willing to get up early, the sunrise here is well worth it. It’s that kind of place that we can spend hours photographing and exploring – every corner is so unique!
Széchenyi Thermal Bath
This Thermal Bath is Budapest’s biggest and most famous hot spring pool, a spa day like no other.
Some things not to miss when visiting Budapest during the best time of the year (close to Christmas) are:
- Visit the Budapest Ferris Wheel, right in front of the Kempinski
- Visit Budapest’s biggest and most famous Christmas market at Vörösmarty Square. Just a 2-minute walk from Kempinski
- Do Christmas shopping on fashion street, right in front of Kempinski
These were the best experiences we had in Budapest, a city we love, and we already want to be back to! We hope you enjoy our tips!
Have you ever been to Budapest? We hope to see you soon at the iconic Hungarian capital.
